The Mii Editor is an online Mii creator and Mii editor for Nintendo Mii characters. Miis are character avatars that you can create on your Nintendo Wii entertainment system through the Mii Channel. This is a version of that same editor that is available to use with your personal computer.

You have the option of saving your Mii on to your computer in the form of a Mii binary file, an XML file, or a JPEG image by clicking on the File button at the bottom of the screen.

Now you can run Mii Editor from your desktop as an AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) application without the need to be online as shown above. All you need to do is to get a standalone version of the editor that you can launch directly from your desktop.
The AIR runtime is cross-platform so you can install the Mii Editor AIR Application on your Windows, Mac, or Linux PC.

Tune your PC for better performance

Computers make many things simpler. They can also cause a great deal of work, particularly if your PC goes on strike, refuses to move faster than a snail’s pace or crashes whatever programs are running.

Computer experts therefore recommend tuning up the operating system (OS). Just like an apartment, the hard drive of a computer should be cleaned regularly to help the user better enjoy spending time there. Experience dictates that the Windows OS moves slower and slower over time – the computer experts are in agreement on this point.

The issue is a part of the OS known as the registry, says Peter Knaak from the German consumer tsting organization stiftung Warentest in Berlin. This is not something that lay users can clean by hand, because you could end up deleting the wrong thing,” the computer expert says.

“I have a hand-written guide on hand for the few steps I can do on my own.” He recommends special programs that help clean the registration database.
An overly full hard drive can also slow down a computer – and in a worst-case scenario lead to more frequent crashes in the system. Computer expert Gerald Himmelein from Hanover-based c’t magazine advises against installing every program that you can get your hands on.

“To prevent unnecessary taxing of the operating system, users should always thoroughly consider beforehand whether a given program is really necessary,” Himmelein recommends.

Delete unused programs

Along the same lines, users who determine that they no longer need a given program should delete it, Himmelein also recommends.

“Before deleting programs, no matter how small they are, you restore the system to the state prior to the deletion,” the computer expert also advises.

In terms of standard hard drive cleaning, the experts agree that temporary data should also be periodically deleted. The Temp folder on the hard drive contains files that a PC stores on an interim basis while doing things like installing programs but which it no longer needs afterward.
These files – but never the entire folder – should be deleted on a regular basis, Himmelein recommends.

why Ajax is the right choice for business applications ?

With the emergence of the Web 2.0 trend, alternatives to Ajax technology seem to be popping up on an almost daily basis. Technologies such as Microsoft's Silverlight™, Adobe's Flex™ and Sun's JavaFX™ claim a nearly identical set of benefits in exchange for moving off of the internationally standardized web platform.
It's a bad bet. Here's why.

Reach & Simplicity

In the early web, when the idea of a "web application" was new, web applications delivered primitive functionality that paled in comparison to installable applications. This was considered a reasonable tradeoff because of the audience that could be reached, the simplicity of not having to install anything or maintain software on end user's machines. Reach and simplicity mattered more than anything.
Reach and simplicity are just as important today.

Your Personal Hard Drive on the Internet

Daily backup data is important to us. It is also important to make sure that backed up data is located somewhere other than where primary data is - so one disaster won't take out both sets. Nowadays, there are many online services that can be used for online storage.
The basic promise of online storage is the security and peace of mind of having an offsite copy of your data. Offsite online storage can also make your data more accessible if you want to share it. But how do you choose which service to go with? It all depends on what you want out of your online storage service. In this review, we'll take a look at six popular online storage services: Xdrive, MediaMax, IDrive-E, Omnidrive,, Carbonite and Mozy. Each of these services offers a free trial that does not require a credit card for signup - so after you read this article, you can go and try them out for yourself.
