The Online WYSIWYG Editor for Flash - Sprout

Sprout is a browser-based, WYSIWYG editor for Flash with an interface reminiscent of Photoshop or Dreamweaver. Designers can use it to create, publish and track Flash widgets, websites and mashups, thereby obviating the need for them to work with programmers who would cost time and money, and who might not execute designs satisfactorily.

The application itself is entirely Flash/Flex-based and won’t require account registration for first-time users (that is, once the private beta period is over). As can be seen in the screenshot to the left, the interface consists of a staging area for construction of a so-called “sprout” (don’t call it a widget!), as well as several panels for tools, components, pages, properties, and more. I found that my experience with Photoshop served me well for creating a sprout (embedded below) that displays TechCrunch feeds, since the same editing concepts are applied by both programs. That said, it would be nice if Sprout had undo capabilities and proper layering, as found in Photoshop.

Full desktop-like web browsing on a mobile phone - Skynew

Skyfire is a free, downloadable mobile browser that delivers rich web media, real fast. There are mobile browsers out there that offer an almost desktop-like browsing experience and combine it with a good dose of usability (ahem, iPhone Safari), but the lack of integrated Flash support keeps these browsers from claiming true desktop-like browsing.
Enter Skyfire for Windows Mobile. The new mobile browser brings the true internet (like you’d experience from your desktop or laptop computer) to Windows Mobile smartphones. Flash-advertisements, YouTube, MySpace, Facebook - any and all web-pages load in speedy fashion thanks to Skyfire’s behind-the-scenes server-magic. With integrated Flash support, animated/interactive advertisements come to life, embedded videos play in the browser, and Flash-based web-pages are finally viewable.
Skyfire is compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0 and 6.0 - in both touchscreen and non-touchscreen flavors.

Check out the video below to get an idea for how Skyfire will work on your WinMo handset. Then go sign up for the private beta here.

Now anyone can create stunning websites online in just minutes

I’m excited to let everyone know about a brand new Web-based technology. It’s called Roxer and represents what we believe is the future of Web page design (screen shots). Roxer which aims to be the easiest way to make a web page:

"Targeted mostly for novices, where with Roxer anyone can build just about any Web page they want using a Web browser (no plug-ins) and without a single line of code. Think Visio, MS Word, or OmniGraffle, but extremely simple and completely on Web-based.

There are a lot of cool features in Roxer, including cross-tab copy/paste, which were extremely difficult to implement. It’s only due to a background in JavaScript hacking were we successful. Other Web 2.0 / Ajax’ish stuff like Drag & Drop, Rich Text Editing, and Edit-in-Place were zip zap after that".

CES 2008 : SpaceTime 3D Web browser

SpaceTime has officially launched its SpaceTime 1.0 3D web browser, which turns internet searches, YouTube videos, eBay listings and all manner of other web content into 3D elements that swoosh around the screen.

That's the main appeal behind SpaceTime's new self-titled browser. The concept applies to image searching and even Ebay - type in what you want and receive pictures of several top results instantaneously.

Additionally, SpaceTime allows users to create mulitple tabs, and have them in the background and all time for easy toggling back and forth and so you remember exactly which sites you have open.
"We hope to dynamically change the way people use the web," said SpaceTime CEO Edward Bakhas in statement released during CES. Users can download version 1.0 the spaceTime browser at spacetime.com. Try it out.....

iDesktop.tv

iDesktop is an Ajax application that brings you a better way to search and watch YouTube videos. Not only but you can download YouTube videos! This is basically adding functionality and experience to what "should be" there. The possibilities of the site reach far beyond that. It gives you the chance to create your own environment for watching video clips, saving them and sharing them with friends.

iDesktop.tv's primary idea - to bring normal desktop application experience to the browser - windows that can be dragged, resized, minimized in a tray, drag'n'drop of videos between players and results, standard menus - all with one goal - to make the richest web application for viewing and managing video content! You will be amazed by the flexibility and fabulous design of the website. It is user friendly and easy to navigate but also has great functionality.
